Synedem is a veterinary anti-inflammatory drug that contains dexamethasone and Furosemide , which is used as a supportive treatment in cases of mastitis and pneumonia in cows and in the treatment of colic in horses.
Composition of Furosemide
Every 100 ml of Synedem , it contains:
Furosemide (Acid-4-chloro-N-(-2 Furyl Methyl)
5-Sulfamoyl Anthranilic) … 5.00 g
Dexamethasone (dexamethasone 21 phosphate.) …………………. 0.20 g
Formulation Agents ……………… e.q.
Indication
Synedem(Furosemide) used as anti inflamatory in all species: pulmonary edema, pulmonary congestion, ascites, renal edema,
pregnancy edema, cardiac edema, hepatic edema, masitis .
Dosage and Administration of Furosemide
Synedem used for Cattle, horses, swine: 1 ml of it 50 k.I.w.
Dogs: 0.25 to 0.5 ml of the product every 5 k..w. per day.
To control edema in large animals, it is suggested to administer every 12 hours.
In dogs:
Every 24 hours.
Only one dose is enough. In case of adverse reactions, administration must be suspended or dose must be reduced
In prolonged treatments, electrolytic balance (sodium, potassium, chloride )
Withdrawal Periods
Do not slaughter treated animals with the product and do not consume or industrialize their milk within 72 hours of the last treatment.
Storage
Product should be stored at temperatures below 30°C.
