Eqvalan paste is A complete horse dewormer ivermectin paste
Kills the most dangerous worms and bots with a single dose.
EQVALAN Paste 1.87% w/w ivermectin for control of internal parasites, including bots and the arterial stages of Strongylus vulgaris in horses.
STATEMENT OF ACTIVE AND OTHER SUBSTANCES:
- -Ivermectin: 1.87%
- Titanium dioxide
- Hydrogenated castor oil
- Hydroxypropylcellulose
- Propylene glycol.
INDICATIONS:
Eqvalan paste is highly effective horse dewormer ivermectin paste against internal parasites including bots of horses.
At the recommended dose level, EQVALAN paste controls these important equine parasites:
-Large strongyles: adults and arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris, adults and tissue stages of S. edentatus, adults of S. equinus and Triodontophorus spp.
-Small strongyles – including benzimidazole-resistant strains – (adults and immatures): Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicodontophorus
spp., and Gyalocephalus spp.
-Pinworms (adults and immatures): Oxyuris equi
-Ascarids (adults and third- and fourth-stage larvae): Parascaris equorum
-Hairworms (adults): Trichostrongylus axei
-Large-mouth stomach worms (adults): Habronema muscae
-Neck threadworms (microfilariae): Onchocerca spp.
-Bots (oral and gastric stages): Gasterophilus spp.
–Lungworms (adults and immatures): Dictyocaulus arnfieldi
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
-Eqvalan horse dewormer ivermectin paste is given orally at the recommended dose level of 0.2 mg ivermectin per kilogram of body weight.
-SUGGESTED PARASITE CONTROL PROGRAM:
All horses should be included in a regular parasite control program with particular attention being paid to mares, foals, and yearlings.
-Foals should be treated initially at 6 to 8 weeks of age, and routine treatment repeated as appropriate

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY:
Studies indicate that when ivermectin comes in contact with the soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time.
any residual contents should be disposed of safely as free ivermectin may adversely affect fish and certain water-borne organisms.
UNIQUE CHEMICAL COMPOUND:
EQVALAN paste contains ivermectin, a highly active antiparasitic agent that is neither a benzimidazole nor an organophosphate, and therefore small strongyle resistance to benzimidazole compounds and organophosphate-type-toxicity should not be a problem.
SAFETY:
Horses of all ages, including pregnant mares and breeding stallions, have been treated with no adverse effects other than those noted under note to user.
PRECAUTIONS:
Horses should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 14 days of treatment.
