AVIMEC is an antiparasitic that contains keywordsivermectin which used for internal parasite treatment & external parasites in cattle, camel, , sheep, horses & rabbits let’s know more about the product
Composition
Each 1 ml AVIMEC contains:
Ivermectin 10 mg
Indications
For treatment and control of the following parasites
In cattle and Buffaloes
Gastrointestinal round worms (adult and immature] such as Haemonchus placei, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, T. axei, Cooperia punctata. Cooperia onchophora, oesophagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum, as well as (adult only) such as:
Nematodirus helvetianus, N. Sparthiger, Strongyloides papillosus, Thelazia spp; Toxocara vitulorum and Parafilaria bovicola
Lungworms
Dictyocaulus viviparus (adult and immature) Cattle grubs: (Parasitic stages) Hypoderma bovis, H. Lineatum and Tropical cattle grubs
Dermatobia huminis Screw-Worms fly (Parasitic stages): Chrysomya bezziana
Mites
Chorioptes bovis, Psoroptes communis var. bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei var, bovis
Lice
Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus and Damalinia bovis
Ticks
Ornithodoros savignyi and Boophilus microplus
In sheep
Gastrointestinal roundworms
Adult and immature:
Ostertagia circumcincta Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus colubriformis Nematodirus filicollis, Copperia curticei, Chabertia ovina Oesophagostomum columbianum
Adult worms
Trichostrongylus axei, T.vitrinus, oesophagostomum venulosum,Trichuris ovis
Lungworms
Dictyocaulus filaria (adult & immature), Prostrongylus rufescene (adult).
Nasal bot: (All larval stages) Oestrus ovis
Mang mifes Psoroptes communis var ovis, Sarcoptes scabiei
In camels
Gastrointestinal roundworms
Haemonchus contortus (adult), ostertagia spp. (adult),Trichostrongylus axei, T. Colubriformis, L Vitrinus,Oesophagostomum columbianum, Chabertia spp.
Mange Mites: Sarcoptes scabiei var cameli
A single injection to be given in case of S. scabiei var cameli
In rabbits
Sarcoptes scabiei
A single injection to be given in case of S. Scabiei subcutaneously
Dosage and route of administration:
(one dose for subcutaneous injection)
Cows, buffaloes, and camels: 1 ml AVIMEC per 50 kg of body weight injected subcutaneously
Sheep and goats: 0.5 ml per 25 kg of body weight, diluted under the skin
rabbits: 0.15 ml per 1 kg of rabbit weight, injected subcutaneously
Withdrawal period
Meat of cattle, sheep, buffaloes, goats & rabbits: 35 days
Meat of camels: 35 days
Precautions
not for intravenous or intramuscular use.
Don’t use in cattle producing milk for human consumption or in dairy cows within 28 days prior to calving.
Don’t smoke or eat during handling the product.
Wash hands after use.
Storage
Store AVIMEC in a dark place at a temperature below 30° C
