ATOPHOSPHAN is a veterinary supplement that contains Phosphorus & vitamin b12 for horses,Cows, Sheep, Goats, dogs & cats let’s know more about the product
Composition:
Each 100 ml ATOPHOSPHAN contains:
- Butaphosphan (1-N-Butylamino-1-Methylethyl Phosphoric Acid) 10 gm (Eq. to 1.37 gm Phosphorus)
- Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 5 mg (Injectable Solution)
Properties:

-Phosphorous substances are involved in all processes of assimilating the body.
-stimulate energy metabolism.
-Phosphorous is a mineral of bone tissue.
-Vitamin B12 is involved in carbohydrate metabolism (gluconeogenesis) & lipids, the formation of red blood cells & the biosynthesis of methionine.
-After a single intravenous administration to cattle, butaphosphan disperses in a few minutes in the extracellular space & is rapidly excreted unchanged.
-After 12 hours, about 77% of the dose is excreted in the urine.
-Only traces of butaphosphan are found in milk.

Indications:
ATOPHOSPHAN veterinary supplement used in prevention and treatment of hypophosphatemia or vitamin B12 deficiency.
Dosage & Route of Administration:
ATOPHOSPHAN administered by subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous injection as below:
Cattle, horse: 10-25 ml/animal
Foal, calf: 5-12 ml/animal
Sheep: 2.5-8 ml/ animal
Lamb: 1.5-2.5 ml/animal
Dog, cat: 0.5-5 ml/animal
Warning & Precautions:
Don’t use ATOPHOSPHAN in animals known to be hypersensitive to the ingredients.
Side effects
Undesirable side effects: Not known.
The safety of Atophosphan in pregnant animals or lactation has not been studied, however, its use during pregnancy & breastfeeding does not seem to pose any particular problem.

Storage conditions:
Store ATOPHOSPHAN at a temperature not more than 30°C.
Used immediately after opening.
Keep out of reach of children.
