FORMULA
Each vial Excenel 4g contains:
Ceftiofur sodium equivalent to 4 g of ceftiofur veterinary.
Once reconstituted with 80 mL of sterile water for injection, each mL of the resulting solution contains ceftiofur sodium equivalent to 50 mg of ceftiofur.
DESCRIPTION
Ceftiofur veterinary is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the cephalosporin group.
INDICATIONS
Excenel 4g is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases
DOSAGE &ADMINISTRATION
sterile powder must be reconstituted by adding 80 mL of sterile water for injection. For your ease, we recommend using a needle size 18 or larger.
Quick addition of thinner will give better results.
Excenel sterile powder should be administered by subcutaneous injection at a dose of 2.0 mg ceftiofur per kg of body weight, the treatment should be repeated every 24 hours for a total of three to five treatments.
PRECAUTIONS / WARNINGS
-Do not consume meat and eggs from treated animals 2 days after the last treatment.
-Product color may vary from white to a darker color.
-The color change does not affect the potency of the product at all.
-Consult the Veterinary Doctor.
-Your purchase requires a medical prescription.
STORAGE
EXCENEL should be kept refrigerated between 2° and 7°C. Once reconstituted, store refrigerated at 2° to 7°C for no more than 7 days; at room temperature between 15° and 30° C for no more than 12 hours.
